Most of a life is spent working. This prayer is for the mornings when you are not sure how you are going to face the day.
The prayer
Lord Jesus,
the work is a lot today, and I do not want to.
Let me do it as if I am doing it for you.
Keep me honest when it costs me. Keep me kind when I am tired.
Give me a clear head for the hard parts.
Give me the humility to ask for help before I break.
If the work is teaching me something, help me hear it.
If it is time to change something, give me the courage.
Amen.
