A Prayer for Your Family (For the Ones Under Your Roof)
Family is where our faith gets tested most often, and where it does its quietest, best work. This prayer is for the people under your roof - and for the ones who used to be, and are far now.
The prayer
Lord Jesus,
keep our family in your hand tonight.
Keep the marriage at the center of it strong. Keep the children of it safe.
Keep the ones who moved away close in spirit, even when we can't see them.
Where there is a wound between us, come and mend it before it hardens.
Where there is a joy, come and share it.
Let this house be a small piece of your kingdom this week.
Amen.
